ExecClimb Mentor was founded in 2016 by two former FTSE 250 executives who had experienced first-hand how transformative — and how rare — genuinely excellent leadership coaching could be. After decades spent navigating boardrooms, restructuring underperforming divisions and mentoring high-potential talent, they recognised a gap in the market: most executive development programmes were either too academic, too generic or too short to create lasting behavioural change.
They set out to build something different. Operating from our base in Wales, we designed an approach that combines the rigour of organisational psychology with the pragmatism of leaders who have sat in the very seats our clients occupy. Every framework we teach has been tested in real organisations, refined through feedback and validated by measurable outcomes.
Since our founding, we have worked with more than three hundred individual leaders and forty-five organisations spanning financial services, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and the public sector. Our clients return because we do not offer motivational platitudes — we offer structured, evidence-based programmes that produce leaders who think more clearly, communicate more effectively and build cultures that attract and retain exceptional talent.
Today, ExecClimb Mentor remains a boutique practice by design. We deliberately limit the number of engagements we accept so that every client receives the focused attention their development deserves. Quality, not volume, is the metric by which we measure our own success.
